Although best know as a painter, Neil Wedman’s work is firmly rooted in drawing. In addition to his works on canvas, linen and paper he has produced photographic installations as well as film and video works. A former recipient of the Viva Award, Wedman has been an instructor at Simon Fraser University, the University of British Columbia and Emily Carr University if Art + Design. A monograph of his drawings – Burlesck: a novel was released in 1999.
